112 some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and should spend most their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with? Why?

When it comes to the issue whether children should begin their formal education at a very early age, different people hold different viewpoints. If I were faced with this issue, I would probably say that young children should spend more time playing. In the following discussion, I would like to present few of the most important reasons to support my idea.

The most important reason is that playing is fun. When we are young, we don not need to worry about anything at all. All we know at the time is play. Why? Simply because it is fun. Playing is something that a child will enjoy doing. This can let them know that life is interesting. In addition, we get the rest of our lives to study, why hurry for these couple of years?  If you can understand this, you can understand my point more deeply.

Children can learn during playing as well is another head and chief reason that I have chosen to put here. Nowadays, companies develop all kinds of games for young children, such as 3D tic-tac-toe, Playdough, Lego and so on. You can learn a lot while you play them. For example, when young children play three-dimension tic-tac-toe, they establish the idea of the three-dimension in their mind. They not only think things on one plane, but also on numerous planes in all directions. This could be very helpful with future education in math, and the child may be interested in a study in math later on. Don‘t you think the above example is very persuasive?

Admittedly, there is an advantage for children who start learning early, which is getting ahead start. Nevertheless, the advantages of playing during early childhood carries more weight than the advantages of studying, so the most attractive conclusion is obvious.

To sum up, given all the reasons discussed above, we can safely reach the conclusion that playing is a better choice for young children. I think young children should play with their friends and play some meaningful games such as the ones mentioned above.
