When it comes to the types of classes, traditionally it is a lecture given by the teacher, who does all of the talking. Nevertheless, a relatively newer type of classes where students are also involved in, has shown up and been increasingly widely adopted. As far as I concerned, I have a preference for the newer one to the traditional one, in which students can learn better, teachers can teach better, and they both can make more friends.
In the first place, students can learn better in classes, when they are also involved in. Listening to lectures all day along is dull and tiresome(有没有表示令人想打瞌睡的词?), because what students do is just to memorize the content of lecture. However, when they have to take part in the talking, they can acquire a lot of knowledge from the preparing work, they can have their own point of view of the subject, and they can learn many different ideas from others. Those theories are not the words written in books any more, they are something that we students can hold in hands. So there is no doubt that students will be more interested and active, which obviously will make them learn better.
What is more, teachers can also teach better in the class where students do some talking. Admittedly, teachers are more professional and knowledgeable in his major, but only one person’s mind has a limitation. By the communication with students in class, teacher can also broaden their minds, and even may get some new ideas. Besides, they can also know more about how the students think, which part they will be interested in or be easily confused, which will certainly help they to teach better.
In addition, both students and teachers can make more friends through the communication in class. They even cannot know each other’s name in a lecture, but can get quite familiar (acquaint有没有形容词?)with others in the communicative class, which provides more opportunities to make friends.
While it is true that the traditional type of classes also have some advantages, such as students can learn more systematically, I still prefer the newer type. It can intrigue students; interest, give teachers new ideas, and promote the communication, which I think is more important both to students and to teachers.
