155 Plants can provide food, shelter, clothing or medicine. What is one kind of plant that is important to you or the people in your country? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice.

When it comes to the issue of an important plant to the people in my country, different people hold different views. If I were faced with this question, I would probably say tree is the important plant. In the following discussion, I would like to provide a few important reasons to support my viewpoint.

The most important reason that we cannot neglect is that trees are economically valuable. Trees can be used for making furniture such as bed, desk and chair; trees can be used for paper production; trees can also be used for producing learning tools such as pencil. All these products are essential to our life. We not only need them as parts of our daily life, but also can get profit if we export them to other countries. As businessmen, just exporting timber to US alone every year could earn them a  large amount of money. Don‘t you think the above example is very persuasive?

Anther head and chief reason that I have chosen to put here is that trees can improve our environment. As we all know, photosynthesis cannot effect without trees. During daytime, trees inspire carbon dioxide from the air and change them into oxygen through a series of chemical reactions. When we go to the park where you can see a lot of trees, you generally feel the air is a lot fresher than downtown. This is because trees purify the air for us which is good for human health. If you can understand this, you can understand my viewpoint better.

Admittedly, there are many other plants that are very important to people in my country as well. For example, flowers can make our cities look more beautiful; corns are the main food in my country. Nevertheless, advantages of trees carry more weight than that of other plants. Hence, the most striking conclusion is obvious.

To sum up, given all the reasons discussed above, we can safely reach the conclusion that trees is a very important plant to the people in my country. I think we should plant more trees than any other plant in my country, because it is so beneficial in many ways.
