题材划分:生物类文章
主要内容:
地球上的温度很少超过50℃,生物在高温以及低温条件下都很难生存,由于生物体内的一些生理过程随温度的升高反应速度变快,酶的活性也受温度影响。绝大部分生物在40℃的代谢速度大约是10℃时的2至4倍(不同物种之间会有差异)。高温条件下,大部分生物都不能存活,除了生活在温泉里的细菌,它们的生物分子之间如蛋白质分子之间结构会加强,来保证它们在高温下不会depart,这种细菌能够在80℃条件下生存,最高能忍受110℃的环境。海水因为含盐,冰点会低于零度,对鱼很不利,因为这些鱼的细胞对高盐分很敏感,不能通过这种方式来防止freeze。这些鱼细胞里的balabala会聚在一起,形成较高浓度来保证不结冰,冰雪在形成的时候,是在小的冰的晶核或者其他东西为晶核为基础生长的。这种就是通过coating在细胞内起这种作用的晶核表面,来阻止结冰。极地地区一些陆生生物,也通过这种方式来抵御严寒的冬天。它们体内的balabala浓度在冬天最高能达到30%。
解析:整体文章词汇相对较简单,只是第一篇相对而言比较难进入状态,所以一定要调整好自己的心态。对于文章中出现的学术词汇可基本忽略不计。

[论文讨论]学生迟交论文(考去老师那的目的),抱怨学校新打印系统,说比原来好,老师说她只用自己办公室的打印机(有一个问题问在表达什么,应该是表明她原来的系统怎么不好),但新系统也出了问题,学生说自己只能出去打印,再后来他们讨论相关话题,学生写xx世纪文学,有个书的第一句特别吸引人,第二章的开头和第二章的那句就不一样了。

[生态学/环境科学]开头提到地球的water cycle, 然后说Titan上的methane cycle和地球的water cycle 很像。后面提到建立一个model,要收集一些数据,关于Titan大气的成分。教授说虽然得到一些信息,但是仍然有很多谜题,比如为什么Titan南半球的lake比北半球多。又说到原来的model是2D的现在建了一个3D的。学生提问methane是不是和ice volcano有关。

[历史类]说到medieval的document都写在parchment上,说原来有个法官写的document有明确的日期名字等,但是有些document没有提供线索。学生说可以检测DNA,通过DNA判断没有线索的parchment属于什么年代,教授说现在建立了一个DNA database,可以对比已有的数据

分论点1:This was kangaroo footprint.
分论点2:It was made by hot air balloon, which can be demonstrated by the broken rope and blots.
分论点3:The whole story was invented although reported trustworthy.
Listening
总论点:Refute the three explanations mentioned in reading passage.
分论点1:Kangaroo’s sharp and powerful claws would make deep marks during long trails. And if the footprints were left by the fleeing kangaroo, there must have been reports about this incident, but there wasn’t.
分论点2:There was a forest area in the way, and the hot air balloon would be entangled by tree branches and could not travel that long distance.
分论点3:The report was based on reliable materials. For one thing, there’sletter from Devin who found the footprints; for another thing, newspaper office collected a lot of details about the print. Thus the report wouldn’t be invented.
